Dog Training

What is Agility?

Dog agility involves the dog negotiating anything up to 20 obstacles, on a course designed by the judge, against the clock. The fastest clear round is the winner, faults are incurred for all errors as well as exceeding the course time, and there are several ways of getting eliminated too.

The two main types of class are agility and jumping (jumping classes do not have contact equipment in them, agility classes do), but there are many other types of fun classes.

If you do not want to compete, there is still no reason why you cannot train your dog, our club have a mixture of competing and non-competing members.

However, be aware that a lot of handlers started out doing it just for fun!

Agility Classes

Ace Pet Dog Training runs agility classes which are held at Moyfield Riding School Nr Evesham. Classes range from competition dogs to pet dogs. Many members have started just for fun and are now competing on a regular basis.

Janice has been competing for eighteen years up to grade five, with the highest being grade seven. Janice is also a Kennel Club Judge and judges on a regular basis at agility shows.

We use the same kind effective methods for agility training and use lots of motivational training.
